Case study — 2025Buy a car.
Sell a car.
Live the scene.
TAN is where Iraq’s drivers list, browse and buy cars in IQD — and where the same crowd posts reels, chases hashtags and messages sellers without ever leaving the app.

Two apps sharing one tab bar
TAN is a car marketplace and community app for the Iraqi market, where sellers list cars by brand, year, city and IQD price, and buyers save favourites or message the seller in the app. Alongside the listings it runs a full video side: a vertical reels player with likes, comments and shares, a hashtag search grid with sponsored slots, and profiles with paid boosts.
Five screens that carry it
The marketplace

Every listing leads with the year, the city and the price in IQD, so nobody has to open a car to find out what it costs. A brand rail across the top jumps straight to Toyota, Kia, Mercedes, BYD or Soueast, and the heart on each card saves anything worth a second look.
- Brand rail
- Year, city and IQD on every card
- Save to favourites
The scene, vertical

Drift nights, tunnel runs and workshop clips play full screen with likes, comments and shares stacked down the right edge. The comment bar never leaves the bottom of the screen, so a clip and the conversation about it are the same view.
- Full-screen vertical player
- Like, comment, share
- Report and moderation
Search is a wall of video

A For You feed sits beside the live hashtags, Arabic and Latin in the same row, and every tile prints its own view count. Sponsored slots drop into the same grid instead of interrupting it, which is what keeps the page worth scrolling.
- #bmw
- #سيارات
- #جارجر
- #tan
- For You grid
- Sponsored placement in-grid
- View counts
Buyers talk to sellers

The inbox is one tap from anywhere in the app. Threads carry photos and car cards as first-class attachments, verified sellers get a badge next to their name, and a deal never has to leave for WhatsApp halfway through.
- Direct seller chat
- Photo and car attachments
- Verified badges
Every account is a channel

Posts, followers and following sit under one header, with reels, listed cars and saved items split across three tabs beneath it. My Boosts turns a listing into a paid placement without ever leaving the profile.
- Reels, cars and saved tabs
- Followers and following
- Paid boosts

Ali built the TAN car care app exactly the way we imagined it, clean, fast, and easy to use. He delivered on both iOS and Android and stayed until every detail was right.

Product & navigation
A marketplace and a social feed want opposite things from a tab bar. Both got a permanent seat and neither ended up buried under the other.
Interface design
One dark system built to hold up over user photography and video — the whole app is a frame around images nobody on the team controls.
iOS & Android
Designed, built and taken through review on both platforms, and shipped to the App Store and Google Play.
The video side
A vertical player, a preview grid with view counts, and sponsored slots that sit inside the grid rather than on top of it.
